Farscape---Sgabba-flies---2

Sgabba-fly close-up, after being hit by John, having bitten his neck.

Sgabba flies were hallucination-producing flies that, combined with telepathic commands by their creators, implanted subliminal commands into the bitten victims, influencing them to do specific acts. E'Alet used these flies to force Aeryn Sun to kill an upcoming leader, Gaashah, along with sixteen other innocent bystanders. Aeryn was initially unable to remember the event, but with some concentration recalled everything. Later John and Aeryn were forced to draw their guns on each other by the flies, and were only freed from their influence by the death of the host, E'Alet. ("A Prefect Murder")
