Garner MacLennan Design was a visual effects shop based out of New South Wales, Australia. The company became GMD in 2000 and fell under the umbrella of Sausage Software before being sold to AAV in July 2002.

Before being drafted to work on the first season of Farscape, they were a visual-effects house for commercials and interactive designs. Wanting to expand into television episodes and feature films, they hired British-born Paul Butterworth to assist them with their presentation to the Farscape production team.
