Lieutenant Hassan was a Peacekeeper Special Ops commando and part of Captain Larraq's unit. Along with Larraq and six others, her unit was assigned to track down and capture an intellant virus for study by Peacekeeper scientists. At the time of their boarding of the Leviathan Moya, Hassan was Larraq's second-in-command.
Hassan had some background in scientific and possibly medical fields. Hassan displayed the most knowledge about the virus in the squad, showed an interest in the variety of spices and herbs in Zhaan's apothecary, prepped the specialized stasis gun, and was referred to as "Doc" by her squadmate Thonn.
After a cycle of hunting the virus, and following the loss of four of the squad's members, they managed to capture and subdue the virus' host. On the way to a newly established Gammak Base, however, their Marauder suffered a cesium fuel leak. Fortunately, they encountered what they believed to be a Peacekeeper-controlled Leviathan. Larraq's surviving squad, including Hassan, boarded the Leviathan, planning to take it over in order to complete their mission. When they found themselves at a disadvantage, however, they were forced to make a compromise with the Leviathan's "captain".
With the Leviathan on its way to the Gammak Base, Hassan oversaw Thonn and Rhed load their cargo, the stasis unit with their virus-infected prisoner inside of it, onto the Leviathan. After the virus escaped, Hassan aided in the search of Moya for the virus, which the crew mistakenly believed had infected Rygel. After incapacitating the Hynerian and believing the crisis to be passed, the commandos continued their journey to the gammak base. The virus, having infected "Captain" Crichton, attacked the unsuspecting Hassan while they were alone together, brutally beating her to death and destroying the stasis gun. ("A Bug's Life")
