Kanvians are a Sebaceanoid species lives on the planet Kanvia. They seem all to have black hair and powder-blue eyes. Until recently, an autocratic ruler named Rinic Pralanoth governed the planet. The ruler and his children control all of the economy and military, though there is frequent talk of others, such as members of ruling councils, trying to make their own grabs for power.
The monarchy of the Rinic family seems to be centered around passing leadership from one family member to the next, though three members of the family, Rinic Pralanoth and his son and daughter, were recently found dead in suspicious circumstances (killed by a Peacekeeper Retrieval Squad, though it is unlikely this will be discovered and even less likely reported to the general populace).
Kanvians have modern technology and interplanetary trade, but they are not all fond of off-worlders. They use creatures called Stranits as lie detectors. ("Thanks for Sharing")
