Kurz, also known as Goon, was a high-ranking Zenetan Pirate. He was first encountered by Moya's crew at Kcrackic's side and later Zelkin's when he took command after Selto Durka's death. He was killed when Talyn destroyed his ship to disable the Flax net it had set up.
