Luna was the Latin name for Earth's single satellite, more commonly known to English-speakers such as John Crichton as "the Moon."
Jack Crichton was famous for being one of the first Humans to walk on the surface of Luna.[1][2]
John Crichton visited his father's landing site on the Moon to communicate with Jack on Earth, warning Jack of his plan to close the wormhole to protect Earth from Scarran invasion.[3]
