Ray Wilson was an IASA official on Earth. He worked with John Crichton on the Farscape Project and was with him when Crichton visited Australia a year before its flight in which they tested the module's engines.
The Ancients used Crichton's memories of Wilson during the simulation they ran to determine if Earth was a suitable future home for their species. Wilson's paranoid, damaging actions rather than acceptance were a major factor in their decision to reject Earth as a candidate for colonization.
