Scrub runner

A scrub runner was a hauler often used for troops and cargo. It was typically the first ship young Peacekeepers learned to fly.

They were virtual defenseless with only rudimentary armaments and were used to train cadets and soldiers untested by space with most progressing to Prowlers by the age of fourteen cycles. ("A Bug's Life")
