Rygel I

The painting of Rygel I

Spirit painting was a Delvian painting technique.

Zotoh Zhaan, amused at Rygel's attempts at a self-portrait, proceeded to show off her skills at spirit painting. When Rygel pointed out that the final product looked more like Rygel I than himself, Zhaan suggested that Rygel I's spirit must reside within Rygel. ("Exodus From Genesis")

Rygel treasured the spirit painting Zhaan had made for him, and it was displayed prominently in his quarters, especially after her death. In a fitting display of irony, the spirit painting was visible when Rygel viewed a message from his cousin Bishan, begging him to return to Hyneria.("Peacekeeper Wars: Part 1")
