T'raltixx was a sinister, light-loving alien who boarded Moya under the pretense of adjusting her electromagnetics to make her untraceable. He claimed that the Leviathan could be fitted with a device that would complete the modification at his home planet and offered to guide her through a region of space known as the Five Pulsars. T'raltixx claimed that the light from the pulsars was known to affect "lesser species" and used this as an excuse when the crew of Moya began exhibiting strange behavior. In truth, however, it was T'raltixx himself who affected the crew, turning them against each other and taking their attention off of him.
As the crew dealt with each other, T'raltixx convinced Pilot to work with him and began increasing Moya's bioluminescence, yelling for Pilot to increase the amount of light as it energized him. The crew of Moya was finally able to overcome T'raltixx's influence and Crichton – who was less strongly affected by T'raltixx's attack than the others as his eyesight was significantly less efficient than that of the others – donned a specially made suit that would allow him to enter the chamber T'raltixx was using and stop his activities. T'raltixx fought back, claiming that his people would find another Leviathan and use its light, spreading through the galaxy to kill everyone. Crichton didn't pay this much attention, however, and used Ka D'Argo's Qualta Blade to kill him.
Powers and abilities[]
Though T'raltixx was blind in the sense that he didn't perceive visual light as Moya's other sentients did, his other senses had developed to give him a radar-like ability to sense movement and avoid stationary objects. One example of this was T'raltixx's rather sensitive hearing.
T'raltixx had the ability to cling and scuttle across the walls and ceiling. He could also shoot beams of light from an area on his face where the eyes of other humanoid beings normally were. These beams were fairly damaging, able to destroy a DRD.
