Use this template to create links to actors, shows, or companies in the IMDb.

Usage

{{ IMDb-link | type=<pagetype> | page=<articleID> | name=<linktext> }}
where
type can be one of "name", "title", "company", "character", or "keyword"
page is the article id (for type=name, type=title, type=company, or type=character) or keyword (for type=keyword)
name is the displayed text for the link
Note that the 'type' and 'name' parameters are optional, and default to "name" and "{{PAGENAME}}", respectively. IMDb "name" articles all begin with "nm", "title" articles begin with "tt", company articles begin with "co", and character articles begin with "ch". Keywords can be just about anything. For example:
{{IMDb-link|page=nm0112871}}
results in
IMDb-link at the Internet Movie Database
a link to the IMDb article on Ben Browder. Note that the link text is filled in automatically by the template using the page name. You would normally use this syntax on the page about, in this case, Ben Browder.
{{IMDb-link|type=company|page=co0055122|name=Jim Henson Productions}}
gives you
Jim Henson Productions at the Internet Movie Database
a link to the IMDb article on Jim Henson Productions. Note that the default type of the IMDb article, "name", has been overridden using the 'type' parameter, and the default text for the link, the page name, has been overridden using the 'name' parameter. As another example,
{{IMDb-link|type=title|page=tt0387736}}
produces the output
IMDb-link at the Internet Movie Database
or, by using the 'name' parameter
{{IMDb-link|type=title|page=tt0387736|name=Farscape: The Peacekeeper Wars}}
produces the output
Farscape: The Peacekeeper Wars at the Internet Movie Database
Note that the title text is automatically italicized if the 'type' parameter is set to "title".
