Tornad was a Hynerian merchant with whom Moya's crew dealt with concerning the substance orujna. Tornad was not happy with the rule of Dominar Bishan and was more than willing to strike a deal with usurped Dominar Rygel. A cycle after the deal was made, Ka D'Argo and Jool met with Tornad to pick up the orujna shipment, but by this time, Tornad's supplier of the lubricant had stopped sending it due to upheaval at the source on Egrof. After learning this from Tornad, D'Argo and Jool headed for Egrof in hopes to get the orujna from Tornad's source.
