Toubray fiber

Toubray fibers, or toubray tissue, were the nerve fibers of Leviathans. The toubray fibers were sought out because of their ability to increase mental capacity in other species. The older the Leviathan, the more mature the toubray fibers, and the more effective the fibers were for this purpose. ("Crichton Kicks", "Natural Election")
