Dakkoth, better known as science fiction author Jay M. Hurd, has been a dedicated Scaper since Season 3 of Farscape. He is a U.S. Navy veteran and a member of STARFLEET, The International Star Trek Fan Association, serving as the chairman of it's Chicago chapter.
He had the honor of attending Scapercon in Chicago in 2003 and meeting Anthony Simcoe, Wayne Pygram, Lani Tupu and other cast members there.

- The nickname "Deadman" comes from two accidents where he should have died. One was from being hit by a car in 1987, the second was in 2004 when a tree fell on him.
