Prince Zarbon

I am currently an administrator on the DBZ Wikia and the Sopranos Wikia and I am grateful to have had this great opportunity to work alongside fellow administrators in order to ensure an accurate and reliable resource for all Dragon Ball and Sopranos fans.

I have the same user name on wikipedia, Zarbon. I am a resident of New York. I am primarily fond of villains and their henchmen as their initial design, mannerism, and characteristics appeal to me most of all.

My favorite characters consist entirely of villains and victims. Zarbon is my ultimate favorite character of all time from Dragonball Z, and from everything else in the universe for that matter. I do indeed have a long list of favorite characters. When it comes to Farscape, I have a few favorites which I will list here.

Favorite Farscape Characters[]

  1. Salis

Salis - Salis is my favorite character in the entire first season. His design appealed to me greatly (he's light greyish/blueish skinned). In the episode entitled "Durka Returns," Salis appears with Durka and Chiana as they are allowed on the Leviathan Moya as a temporary transport. However, Rygel knows of Durka's evil ways and tries to convince the others that he's still the same vicious maniac. They all find it hard to believe that Durka could still be a threat due to being mind-cleansed, but Rygel has enormous doubt. Eventually, Chiana attempts to escape from her captivity and Durka obviously returns to his ruthless path, allowing Salis to be killed in the process amidst the chaos. Salis has a nice little torture device he likes to carry around his head just in case Chiana steps out of bounds. Also, he was very nonchalant and reserved in his mannerism, maintaining a strict embodiment of command. Although he gets killed in an awesome way, I loved his death scene and the overall mannerism of the character; also, it was nice to see that his murderer is never revealed (it may have been Chiana or Durka) but either way, it made Salis even more awesome of a concept due to the impact the role had on me. Salis is by far my favorite character in season one of Farscape.
  2. NamTar

NamTar - NamTar is my second-favorite character in the first season. Other than the fact that he is designed with great detail and subsequently has a majestic attitude, he maintains a calm and collected exterior regardless of undertaking vicious experimentation. I also love his movements and clothing; he appears to be wearing cybernetic attachments, which add to his already pre-existing exquisite animalistic appearance. In the episode entitled "DNA Mad Scientist," NamTar attempts to bring a multitude of species together in order to combine their DNA and use it for his own benefit in terms of perfecting his own capabilities; adapting their strengths and taking on a slew of massive traits (including, but not limited to, the ability to regenerate). As his overall susceptibility to adapt under any circumstances makes him more powerful and dangerous, he maintains his scientist comrade Kornata beside him (who was previously his actual owner). Due to NamTar's own desire to become a perfect organism, he progressed a tremendous amount to reach his current appearance. However, once he attempts to mutate Aeryn Sun, Crichton and Kornata are able to inject him with a serum which reverts him to his original form. I loved the reference to Dr. Mengele as well as Crichton comparing his research to that of Mengele's. NamTar is definitely one of my favorites in the first season.

Favorite Farscape Episodes[]

  1. Durka Returns - This is my favorite episode in the entire first season. I primarily love the episode due to the character of Salis; his attitude, persona, role, and overall ending appealed to me greatly. Plus the directing and overall atmosphere of the episode was quite grandiose. I loved the suspense aspect; it's something I've found lacking in many other Sci-Fi programs. However, this same aspect I speak of is well visible in the Alien movies and the Predator movies. I love the concept of lurking, etc. being well established (example: In space, no one can hear you scream...). They kept the suspense running throughout the episode as you don't know who Salis' murderer is (Chiana or Durka) and made it feel like a Sci-Fi plus horror combo. I greatly preferred this episode to most others in the first season for a single-story plot-line. Aside from episodes like "Nerve" and "The Hidden Memory', which had wonderful connective plot points, I loved this one most of all for a stand-alone episode. The only other one I loved (likely my second-favorite in the first season) was DNA Mad Scientist.
